Yoder’s Building Services is a family-owned and operated business that has thrived for three generations. Since our founding in 1986, we have become the leading supplier for professional builders in the Upstate, now led by the third generation of founder Harley Yoder.
In 1979, Harvey "Granddad" Yoder and his sons moved to Fair Play, SC, to establish a boys camp for troubled youth. By 1981, the camp was operational, and the Yoders sought financial support. Initially considering a pizza shop, they pivoted after discovering a pizza oven for sale, which inspired them to open a building supply store instead.
In 1986, they purchased nine acres to launch Yoder's Building Services, starting with just four employees and one delivery truck.
YBS was founded on a commitment to serving and caring for people—a value that remains at our core today.
Our mission is to fund ministries both locally and globally, and this spirit of service drives our success. With extensive product knowledge, attention to detail, and exceptional service, we stand out from the competition.
